What is the meaning of TRUTH?

How many times have we heard this line? “Sometimes the truth hurts.” Or “You can’t run away from the truth!” If “truth” is defined as “the real facts about something,” according to Merriam-Webster, then why can something real hurt us or be something we are afraid of? The simple answer…because we are human. As humans, we know the difference between right and wrong, that is what our conscience is for, that’s what makes us different from other living things, we have morals. But where do these morals come from? Most of the time, we see morality as something that is taught and developed from the day we are born, but in reality, we are inherently created this way. Whenever you have that thought, that small voice inside, telling you something isn’t right, that is the conscience that was created inside of you. I know some of you are thinking, “No way, I am a good person, I’m not afraid of the truth because I live MY truth.” Let’s talk about that. Why is YOUR truth more real that MINE or someone ELSE’S? I can honestly tell you that THE TRUTH is what is written in the Bible. It is written in Hebrews 4:12-13 (NIV):

For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.

After reading this, how many of you can say that you would hide from the TRUTH written in the Bible? That the TRUTH written here does not hurt you because it doesn’t apply to you? God already knew how powerful the truth is and that He (God) knows everything that is done, thought, and even imagined. But the beauty of this is that if we accept God into our lives and create that relationship to live out his TRUTH, His truth will set us free. It is written in John 8:31-32 (NIV):

So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, 32 and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

How amazing is that? All that is needed is to believe in Him. Once you believe, following His word flows naturally. Still don’t see it. In this impressionable world, Tik Tok has become a mainstream phenomenon, especially for the youth. Tik Tok challenges have swept over our society, some being fun and some very dangerous. Although these creators do not have any authority, status, or power to lead, viewers seem to follow if they find the creator believable or the act desirable. And soon, without question, they have followers that trust their words and actions and choose to follow along. God is saying the same thing, follow me, the challenges are all written out in the Bible (and trust me, there are some TOUGH challenges). The one key difference, God’s truth is sharp, can penetrate anything and judges your hurt. He knows it ALL. And yet, it is written that if you know the truth, the truth will set you free. What are your thoughts on this? Let me know in the question section. I would love to hear your thoughts on this topic.
